Russe Aglianico del Vulture DOC by Arteteke is an intense, terroir-driven red wine made from 100% Aglianico, grown on a roughly 2-hectare vineyard in the heart of Monte Vulture, in Basilicata. The vines are approximately 20 years old and rooted in medium-textured, siliceous soils.
The wine ferments and ages in concrete tanks. Deep ruby red in color, it is fresh and juicy, with a complex bouquet ranging from ripe red fruit—almost like a fruit salad—to woodland notes, with spicy, mineral, and saline nuances. Spontaneously fermented in concrete, it shows energetic tannins and a long finish.
