The Chianti Classico represents the estate’s core production. The vineyards are located in Castelnuovo Berardenga, in the southeastern part of the Chianti Classico production area, northeast of Siena. Oriented almost exclusively to the southwest, they stretch across breezy slopes at altitudes ranging from 320 to 420 meters above sea level. From a geological standpoint, the soils are quite heterogeneous: in the higher areas, quartz sandstone bedrock and alberese mixed with alluvial deposits prevail; stratified sandstone and silt characterize the vineyards bordering the Colli Senesi toward the Crete Senesi. First vintage produced: 1967.
Ruby-red color with good intensity and hue. Fruity, fine, and elegant bouquet where wild berries dominate, accompanied by hints of various spices. Good fruit on the palate with balanced tannins and a persistent aftertaste.
