The Friulano from Draga Winery is a fresh white wine with intense aromas, produced in San Floriano del Collio, in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. It is made from 100% Friulano grapes, an indigenous white grape variety of the region, also known as Sauvignon Vert.

The vines, located on hills with marl-rich soils featuring clay elements and sandstone—locally known as “ponka”—are on average around 60 years old and are trained using the inverted Guyot method at an altitude of 220 meters. The grapes are hand-harvested.

The winery has belonged to the Miklus family for three generations and is located in one of the most renowned areas for viticulture in Friuli: the Collio region, specifically in San Floriano.

The wine shows a deep straw yellow color and offers a bouquet of floral and fruity aromas on the nose, reminiscent of elderflower, apricot, gooseberry, lemon zest, and hints of aromatic herbs such as thyme, along with notes of nuts. On the palate, it is fairly intense and persistent, with good minerality and freshness. The finish reveals smoky and slightly bitter notes, reminiscent of almond.
