“Il Campo delle Oche” by Fattoria San Lorenzo follows biodynamic and organic farming practices. A production choice rooted in respecting the natural rhythms of the vineyard and minimizing intervention in the cellar. Making wine the traditional way.
This wine is made from 100% Verdicchio grapes, sourced from the “Le Oche” vineyard, which rests on sandy and clay-rich soils at 380 meters above sea level. Intervention in the vineyard is minimal, combining organic farming with certain biodynamic principles—meaning that chemical treatments are entirely excluded.
A rich and mineral white wine, “Campo delle Oche” is an elegant, intense, and complex Verdicchio: the highest expression of the grape. Fermentation occurs exclusively with native yeasts in stainless steel, with 20 days of skin contact. Malolactic fermentation is completed. The aging process is divided into three phases: 2 months in concrete, 36 months in stainless steel on the lees, followed by 6 months in bottle.
The color is straw yellow with golden highlights. On the nose, it is very complex, offering notes of spices, aromatic herbs, and hay, along with ripe fruit such as apple and pear, chamomile, and almond. Hints of honey and saffron also emerge. The palate is rich, savory, and mineral, with remarkable persistence. A wine with significant aging potential.
