Per’è Palummo, also known as Piedirosso, is an indigenous grape variety from Campania. It is produced by the Moccia family of the Agnanum estate, located near the Astroni Nature Reserve—a hilly area rich in volcanic micro-elements that give the grapes uniquely original aromas and flavors, coming from very old vines.
Cultivated with an extremely low yield per hectare, this grape is grown and harvested entirely by hand (due to the steep slopes) following the practice of late harvesting. The resulting wine undergoes a “non-intervention” vinification process, ensuring full respect for the territorial characteristics of its origin.
The wine displays a ruby red color with vibrant highlights. On the nose, it reveals elegant aromas with notes of wild strawberries, blueberries, sour cherries, wild violets, licorice, cocoa, and black pepper. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with well-structured tannins and a pleasantly savory and lingering finish.
