Located on the volcanic hills of the Astroni Nature Reserve, in the historic area of the Phlegraean Fields, the Moccia farm has been passionately dedicated to viticulture for over forty years.

The distinctive slope of the hill, arranged in terraces, allows for manual cultivation only. This method relies on the continuous shaping of the land, ensuring proper water supply through the creation of small basins near each vine. This process also maintains the correct inclination of the terraced terrain. Careful grape selection, very low yields, late harvesting, and marketing approximately one year after the harvest all contribute to the high quality of the final product.

“Agnanum Vigna delle Volpi” is produced near the Astroni Nature Reserve, a hilly area rich in volcanic micro-elements that enhance the grapes with unique aromas and flavors.

Manually cultivated (with low yields per hectare and late harvest) in the highest part of the vineyard—frequented by the foxes that inhabit the reserve—this variety produces a Piedirosso that is aged in small oak barrels for about eight months, a process that ensures quality.

This is a light red wine, almost a white in terms of elegance, aroma, and, most of all, drinkability. A handcrafted wine, executed with great skill.

Ruby red with purplish highlights. On the nose, fruity and floral notes of wild berries, geranium, violet, and cherry. On the palate, it offers refreshing acidity supported by a pleasant sapidity. A balanced wine with an enjoyable and compulsive drinkability.
