Princic is a benchmark in the Collio wine scene — a true pioneer and experimenter, and one of the first to produce macerated wines: the so-called orange wines.

We are in Friuli Venezia Giulia, in Oslavia — a borderland between Italy and Slovenia. Here, Princic cultivates ten hectares of vineyards on soils composed of layered sedimentary rocks: sandstone, marl of Eocene origin, and clay.

Dario Princic’s Ribolla Gialla is a white wine that macerates on the skins for 35 days and ages for 30 months in large oak and acacia barrels. A brilliant interpretation of this native variety: mineral, savory, with hints of fruit preserves, and light touches of hydrocarbon and vegetal notes. In the glass, Ribolla Gialla shows a bright amber hue. The nose is complex and captivating, with notes of almond and dried fruit, sweet spices, apricot, herbal and mineral sensations. On the palate, it is balanced, savory, and slightly tannic. A truly unique experience.
