The Rosso Di Gino is derived from a blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano. It is the historic label of the San Lorenzo winery, with the first vintage produced in 1995. The 4-hectare vineyard is located in the municipality of Ostra Vetere, with a south-facing exposure. The predominantly sandy soil is where the grapes are harvested and once brought to the cellar, they undergo fermentation and maceration for about 20 days. The process is carried out using indigenous yeasts. For aging, the wine is rested for one year in stainless steel, with only 10% of the grapes aged in French oak tonneaux. It has a ruby red color with aromas of berries and tobacco on the nose. On the palate, it is fresh, smooth, delicate, and easy to drink.
